Master David Cubine is a seventh-degree Black Belt with 27 years of experience in the practice and teaching of Shaolin martial arts under the direct supervision of Grandmaster Hiang The. Master Cubine has learned over 100 and tested on 80 advanced empty hand and weapons forms in several traditional Shaolin styles, including advanced studies in Tai Chi and Chi Kung. Master Cubine teaches at the Central Kentucky YMCAs and at the Hiang Thè training center. Born in Louisville, he is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has lived in Lexington since 1971. Master Larry Dean Hill is a seventh-degree Black Belt who has studied martial arts since 1970. Dean has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and the Western US. Dean is also a professional photographer who specializes in images from the eastern Kentucky area. Master Hill's interest in the Tai Peng Bird system, Pushing Hands, and several internal systems, including Ching Kong Sow/Golden Steel Fist, are part of his specialized studies. He received his seventh degree rank on February 26, 2006.
