Chung Yen Central Shaolin Martial Art's origins are rooted in ancient China, developed over 1500 years ago at the first Shaolin Temple at the foot of the Songshan Mountains in north-central China near what is now Dengfeng in the Henan Province. Passed on from generation to generation, evolving through the years, the essence of the art is still carried on today by instructors like Grandmaster Hiang Kwang Thé, (Chen) the head of the Central Shaolin Martial Arts organization.
